What is UberRush? Should I become an UberRush driver?
If you are already an Uber driver, perhaps you’re looking for something different? Unlike traditional Uber rides, which connect drivers to passengers, UberRUSH connects drivers with couriers. Currently available in New York City, Chicago, and San Francisco, UberRUSH takes passengers completely out of the equation, having drivers instead shift their attention to picking up and dropping off packages.
Pricing varies, depending on the city. This is what the client (such as a store), would be charged:
- New York — $5.50 within one mile + $2.50 for each extra mile
- Chicago — $5 within one mile + $2.75 for each extra mile
- San Francisco — $6 within one mile + $3 per extra mile
Similarly to UberX, drivers then receive between 75 and 80 percent of the delivery cost. There is the potential to make between $20 and $30 per hour, depending on your location and schedule. \
If you no longer want to pick up and drop off Uber passengers, UberRush could be a good option for you.
By using their Uber App, customers can see where their delivery currently is on the map, making for a smoother drop off. If you’re interested, you will need to:
- Be at least 19 years of age;
