1. Riders: Getting Picked Up by Uber at Salt Lake City International Airport
Can Uber pickup passengers at Salt Lake City International Airport?
Yes, anyone can use Uber’s services for pickups at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).
It’s worth remembering that, in addition to Uber’s booking fee & minimum fare: SLC Airport Authority imposes a $1.07 charge for all Uber pickups and drop-offs (*and a $1.91 charge for all UberSUV, UberBLACK and UberXL trips). Airport fees are charged only to Uber passengers (not drivers).
To request an Uber at SLC Airport, simply follow the steps below:

When requesting an Uber ride at Salt Lake City Airport, make sure you adhere to the following pickup directions:
If you’ve arrived at Terminal 1, meet your driver at the curb near DOOR 7.
If you’ve arrived at Terminal 2 (also known as the international terminal), meet you driver at DOOR 12.

Select Uber Vehicle Type
Open the Uber Ride App on your smartphone, and choose your preferred Uber service option.
The following vehicle options are available at SLC Airport: UberX, UberXL, UberASSIST, UberSUV, UberSELECT, and UberSKI (a special regional service which is available during ski season, UberSKI features room for ski gear & four-wheel drive vehicles).
2. Riders: Getting Dropped Off by Uber at Salt Lake City Airport
All Uber Services are allowed to drop off passengers at SLC. Simply request an Uber as you normally would, and input the appropriate Salt Lake City Airport Terminal as your final destination.
3. Drivers: Picking Passengers Up at Salt Lake City Airport
Uber drivers are required to wait for trip requests at a special staging lot, located near Salt Lake City Airport’s Terminals (see map below).
Uber Drivers WILL NOT get airport-based rider requests if they wait OUTSIDE this designated staging zone.
To receive an Uber trip request at Salt Lake City Airport, you MUST enter the staging lot, where you be automatically entered in a queue for pickup:

Receiving Requests at SLC Airport
Once you receive a trip request, accept the request, and drive towards SLC’s terminals, and navigate towards the drop-off lane.
Pick up your riders across from either:
- Door 7 (Terminal 1)
- or Door 12 (Terminal 2);
Signs (marked with ‘Uber’ or ‘Rideshare’) will show drivers where to retrieve their passengers.
4. Drivers: Dropping Off Passengers at Salt Lake City Airport
Drop off Uber passengers at the appropriate departure terminal (navigate to SLC’s middle lane, which is indicated by signage which reads ‘drop offs’).
Make sure your Uber Driver App is always turned ON when dropping passengers off at SLC.
Please note: SLC imposes a $1.07 charge for all Uber pickups and drop-offs (*the fee for UberBLACK, UberSUV and UberXL is currently $1.91), but it is charged only to the passenger.
